"Quilts and Felt and All Things Fiber," an exhibit of textiles by North Fork area artists, is open through Aug. 27 at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts. The center is located at 228 Grand Avenue, Paonia.
The show features weavings by Ellza Coyle, felted art work, hats by Lynn Gillespie, quilts by Lynn Mattingly, Cyndi Landes and Tonya Markel, and hand-painted silk scarves by Erin Hilleary, with a special piece by Ruby Riggs. Jewelry maker Tess Bachran will present a trunk show at the Blue Sage on Friday, Aug. 11.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
