46th BMW rally opens Thursday

By Press Release

The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado's 46th annual Top O' the Rockies rally officially kicks off Thursday, July 20, at Paonia Town Park. The event features live music, social events, food vendors, activities, games and special presentations.

Food and drink will be plentiful throughout the rally. Thursday through Sunday mornings breakfast is available at the Ellen Hansen Smith Teen Center, with proceeds benefiting the Paonia High School senior class. From 5-7 p.m. Friday, the Kids Pasta Project will prepare a spaghetti dinner. Arrive early, as this dinner sold out last year. A bake sale to benefit the Abraham Connection in Delta will also run throughout the event.

Beginning at 11 a.m. daily, the Paonia Cherry Days Committee will offer beer and wine in the park, with proceeds benefiting the 2018 Cherry Days festival. On Friday, enjoy live music by the Sammy Eubanks Band starting at 7 p.m.

The public is invited to enjoy the activities, but is asked to stay out of the bikers' camping area for security and privacy reasons. For a full schedule of events, visit BMWMCC.org.
