Alan Beach Greager died Feb. 10, 2017, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center in Casa Grande, Ariz. He was 69.
He was born June 29, 1947, in Glenwood Springs to Floyd and Rose Marie (Watt) Greager. He spent his childhood in Norwood and Nucla. He graduated from Nucla High School in 1965.
On June 16, 1966, he married Linda Marie Skees in Nucla.
Mr. Greager worked in the radio communication and construction business, building and maintaining systems across Colorado.
He enjoyed hunting, camping, ATVing and traveling with his wife in their motor home.
Mr. Greager is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; sister, Judy (Andy); brother, Lyn (Debbie); two sons, Jeffrey Beach and Eric Thomas (Marci); six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the Nucla Cemetery with Rick Luster officiating.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
