Orton Family Foundation executive director David Leckey announces the hiring of Alexis Halbert as senior associate of programs in the foundation's Arvada office.

Halbert joined Orton from Paonia, where she was associate publisher at High Country News. She also served as president of the Paonia Chamber of Commerce and was on the board of the Colorado Renewable Energy Society.
Halbert earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in globalization and natural resource management, and holds a certification in project management from San Francisco State University.
