All candidates should be heard

By Marie Ware

Dear Editor:

I was totally happy to be invited to a training session held by the Republican party. While there, I learned more about the importance of the local caucus and county assembly process. As the folks were assembling, I heard a comment made by a party officer (that I feel was inappropriate) about a candidate. Does the inner circle determine the outcome even before the process starts? The views and ideas of ALL candidates should be heard, not pre-eliminated, during the caucus process. I understand that it is appropriate for the party to help bring candidates up through the vetting process to be considered by the people.

Candidates with fresh and new ideas for this county are most necessary in order to preserve and continue the opportunities of the life we know and love in Delta County. I encourage Delta County voters to vet and consider Roger Bentley.
