Alpine Bank participates in National Volunteer Week

By Press Release

Alpine Bank is committing once again to participate in National Volunteer Week April 10-16. Locally, Alpine Bank has partnered with Delta senior citizens and Delta volunteer firefighters to provide employees with volunteer opportunities.

Established in 1974, National Volunteer Week is about encouraging people to engage in their communities, take action and inspire those around us to create social change. It's about demonstrating to the nation that, by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.

Alpine Bank has long supported and encouraged staff to be involved in their communities, and each employee is provided with 24 hours of paid volunteer time per year. This time equates to just over seven full-time employees and has a value of $369,792 according to Corporation for National and Community Service.

"In 2015, Alpine Bank's nearly 600 employees gave more than 16,000 hours back to communities across Colorado. Commitment to community is at our core," said Andrew Karow, Alpine Bank regional president. This year, Alpine Bank is striving for one hour of giving for every employee during National Volunteer Week.
