Angeline Urich Helmericks

Delta resident Angeline Urich Helmericks died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at Colorow Care Center in Olathe. She was 84.

Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 21, at St. Michael Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Duncan, Iowa, next to her husband, Clement Urich.

Angeline L. Meier was born March 1, 1931, to Frank and Veronica Meier.

On March 31, 1951, she married Clement Urich. He preceded her in death. She later married John Helmericks; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Helmericks lived in Garner, Iowa, and Eckert before moving to Delta in 1991.

She cooked for many years at the Delta Senior Citizen Center. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and the craft club. She enjoyed her family, cooking and craftwork.

Mrs. Helmericks is survived by three sons, Gerald (Rita) Urich of Austin, Tony (Sue) Urich of Garner, Iowa, and Bonaven (Joyce) Urich of Delta; five daughters, Veronica (Oly) Maas of Crystal Lake, Iowa, Yvonne (Carlos) Viscarra of Des Moines, Iowa, Nancy Horstman of Britt, Iowa, Karen (Mark) Beasley of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Marge (Charles) Langhoff of Peyton; a brother, Francis Meier of Elma, Iowa; a sister, Agnes Hidding of Elma, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Marion Liska of Albert Lea, Minn.; 25 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clement Urich and John Helmericks; a son, Bernard; and a grandson, Connor Brunsen.
