Anita Lea Gonzales of Delta died May 24, 2017, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 58.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 1, at 10 a.m. at the Taylor Funeral Chapel in Delta. Rick Aragon will officiate. Inurnment will be at Cedaredge Cemetery.
Anita Lea Hendricks was born June 26, 1958, to Walter and Naomi (Morris) Hendricks in Glenwood Springs. She spent her childhood in Eagle and Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 1976. Mrs. Gonzales worked as a pharmacy technician.
On April 15, 1994, she married Eugene Gonzales in Las Vegas, Nev.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Delta.
Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her husband of 23 years, Eugene Gonzales of Delta; one son, Michael Hendricks of Delta; one brother, Walter (Grace) Hendricks of Delta; one sister, Ellen Hendricks of Grand Junction; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hendricks.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
