At their March 5 meeting Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes made two appointments to the county planning commission. Steve Shea was reappointed for a three-year term.
The Cedaredge Bruins were on an 11-game winning streak before Paonia's Eagles came to town last Friday evening. The last loss for Cedaredge was at last year's 2A State Tournament in Pueblo when Paonia did the trick.
The Delta County swim team hosted a four-team meet last Friday. The winning team was Durango with 458 points and Delta finished second with a total of 353 points.
Fans of Paonia wrestling were treated to quite a show last Saturday when three hometown grapplers won individual titles at the Screamin' Eagle Tournament.
