Longtime Delta County resident Arnold Dailey died Sept. 7, 2017, in Colorado Springs, where he resided for the last five years. He was three weeks short of 90.
He was born Sept. 26, 1927, in Logan County Okla., to Virgie Sink and Arnold Dailey Sr.
Mr. Dailey was a longtime employee of Palmer & Company in Cedaredge, and a member of the Delta Elks. He enjoyed reading, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Olson; stepdaughters, Debbie Blakeslee and Carol Wilcox; grandson, Kyle Olson; great-granddaughter, Emmalyn Olson; and siblings, Glenn Dailey and Wanda Hughes.
At his request, no services are planned.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
