Audrey M. Hood died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at her home in Cedaredge. She was 79.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Cedaredge Cemetery.
Mrs. Hood was born in Delta Nov. 10, 1936, to Lawrence and Sarah (Mills) Spaulding. She spent her childhood and attended school in Cedaredge, graduating from Cedaredge High School in 1954. She completed one year of nurse's training.
On April 1, 1957, she married Arnold Hood in Cedaredge.
Mrs. Hood worked as an LPN for many years.
She enjoyed homemaking and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Arnold Hood of Cedaredge; a son, Roy Hood of Alamosa; a daughter, Donna (Bill) Faller of Grand Junction; and a grandson, Kurt Faller.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
