Axyle Belveal named student of the month | CHS, Orchard City

Photo by Rick Smith Cedaredge High School senior Axyle Belveal received the Orchard City Student of the Month award from mayor Ken Volgamore.

Cedaredge High School senior Axyle Belveal was acknowledged as the Orchard City Student of the Month.

Axyle maintains a 3.95 GPA and has received awards in a number of scholastic areas. He was the Outstanding Math Student in geometry his sophomore year, Outstanding Math Student in Algebra 2 his junior year and Outstanding Art Student as a freshman. Axyle is a member of National Honor Society and has been selected as an outstanding GPA student all four years.

He loves the FFA and participating in the events, receiving a Green Hand and an Agriscience award. This year, he plans on receiving his state degree in FFA. While in FFA, Axyle has competed in the state career development competition, received a bronze medal in ag mechanics, with his team taking second place. He also shovels snow for people with this organization.

Axyle loves gymnastics. He has been in the sport since he was in sixth grade.

After graduation, he plans on attending the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs to study computer science and becoming a game programmer. He hopes to attend college through the Army ROTC scholarship program and the National Guard.
