All the leaders from Bill Heddles Rec Center's adult softball leagues survived last week's challenges and continued their hold on first place.
Hometown Electric/1440 Image (9-0) stayed one game ahead of Delta Family Fun Park (9-1) in Monday night's Silver Coed play. Mom and Jenn's Cleaning holds the third place spot at 7-2 while Rymer and Company is 5-5, slipping to fifth place, and Northrup Construction slid into fourth at 5-4.
Tuesday night's Gold Coed League was led by Cornerstone Home Lending, which took its 12-0 record, and a league title, to the playoffs. Berries and Cherries was tied with Bad News Beers in second place with records of 7-5.
Delta Metals (3-9) and Twist Off (1-11) completed the rankings as of June 24.
After tournament action last week, Berries and Cherries was to face Delta Metals (6:30 p.m.) for the right to take on Cornerstone Home Lending for a tournament title at 7:30 p.m.
Dynamic (10-2) won the Men's Slowpitch title with Moralez Trucking (9-3) finishing second and River Bandits (8-4) rebounding from a slow start to finish third. Delta Metals/Crusaders also had a record of 8-4 to finish fourth.
Big B's (7-5) was fifth followed by Balls Deep (4-8), Yost Family Dentistry (2-10) and Double J (0-12).
Thursday night's schedule will have Dynamic and Double J playing at 6:30 p.m. while Delta Metals and Big B's play in the other 6:30 p.m. contest.
In 7:30 p.m. contests, River Bandits and Balls Deep square off with Moralez Trucking and Yost Dentistry playing the other 7:30 p.m. game.
Tournament action for the men's league will continue on July 14.
Cornerstone Home Lending (11-1) won the women's Thursday night league with Crested Oak Dentistry (5-7) finishing second. Overholt Truss claimed third and H & R Block finished with 4-8 records.
Tournament play for the women on Thursday (July 7) will feature Cornerstone Home Lending and H & R Block at 6 p.m. and then Overholt Truss and Crested Oak Dentistry play at 7. The women's tournament will conclude on July 14.
Delta's second annual "Kickoff to Christmas" takes place Saturday, Nov. 25. This event is sponsored by the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce and First Colorado National Bank.
