Bill Fletcher

Olathe resident William "Bill" Fletcher died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Colorow Care Center in Olathe. He was 85.

William Seaborn Fletcher was born in Casper, Wyo., July 29, 1930, to Seaborn and Thelma (Spacious) Fletcher.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years during the Korean Conflict.

On April 11, 1954, he married Luwilda "Lukie" Hawk in New Mexico. They lived in Gunnison for 41 years before moving to Olathe 15 years ago.

Mr. Fletcher is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lukie; three sons, Bob (Ruth) Fletcher of Montrose, Ron (Marya) Fletcher of Yonkers, N.Y., and Larry (Brucie) Fletcher of Grand Junction; and grandchildren, Stephanie Edmonds, Ben Edmonds, Mark Fletcher, Quinten Fletcher and Kirk Fletcher.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ed Fletcher.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Memorial services will be held this summer in Gunnison.
