Bindi Pennetta was selected as the 2016 "Outstanding Law Graduate" of the University of Wyoming College of Law in Laramie, Wyo. Commencement exercises were held May 14.
Pennetta is the daughter of Bob and Candy Pennetta of Crawford. She was a three-year recipient of the Watt Brothers scholarship, was named to the Dean's Honor Roll, and finished in the top one-third of her class. In her acceptance speech Pennetta thanked her family, staff and faculty. "It's truly an honor and I'm humbled to be here with you all," she said.
The outstanding law graduate is selected by his or her peers. In introducing Pennetta, College of Law Dean Klint Alexander praised graduates for their commitment to public service in their communities. Many of the graduates participated the college's "extraordinary clinic program" to assist Wyoming citizens in need of legal services while studying law. Dean Alexander called Pennetta "one of our most extraordinary candidates" for the juris doctor degree.
