Although memorable events are greatly appreciated in the North Fork Valley, the source of their success is often overlooked. A particular arts group that plays a key role in this respect is Paonia's Blue Sage Center for the Arts.
The perfect opportunity to say thank you to the 'Sage' is coming up on Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Blue Sage's annual membership meeting from 3-5 p.m.
There will be an opportunity to become a new member, renew your membership or become a sustaining member. Each member receives a commemorative stainless steel water bottle as a thank you. Also there will be a review of the precious year's financials and other important business matters, and a membership vote for the new board of directors.
All members may enjoy a complementary glass of beer or wine, delicious treats and entertainment.
To join online go to www.bluesage.org/memberships.
The Blue Sage is also accepting applications to become a new member of the board of directors. If interested, please submit a letter of interest by Tuesday, Oct. 24, including why you wish to be on the board and what you feel you can bring to the board. Letters can be dropped off at the Blue Sage, 226 Grand Avenue on Monday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday, noon to 5 p.m., or mailed to PO Box 700, Paonia CO 81428.
