Cedaredge High School's Bruins finished last weekend's Screamin' Eagle wrestling tournament with 136.5 points and placed fifth. Hotchkiss won the tournament with 229 points with Meeker second (210.5), Centauri third (204) and Paonia fourth (203.5).
The Bruins placed six wrestlers in the top six. Leading the way for Cedaredge with third-place finishes was Zach Anderson (170), Tre' Labossiere (195) and Anthony Antuna at 220.
Alex McCracken (113) and Mario Madaleno (285) placed fifth in the annual tournament.
Drew Markley wrestled in the 160-pound division and finished sixth.
The Bruins were busy early in the week with a scheduled dual at Montrose on Jan. 27. Thursday's schedule has the Bruins at Grand Valley with competition against both the Cardinals and Moffat County beginning at 4 p.m.
On Friday, Cedaredge takes on Ignacio in dual action beginning at 5 p.m. and then wrestles in the Ignacio Tournament on Saturday.
