Match details for three volleyball contests played by Cedaredge High School were not available prior to deadline.

The Bruins had some tough luck this past week winning just one match and losing two others.

Cedaredge (3-1, 9-6 3A WSL) visited Olathe (2-3, 3-9) on Oct. 5 and handed the Pirates a three-set loss, 25-11, 25-14 and 25-15.

Ridgway's Demons played in Cedaredge on Oct. 6. The first two sets of match-play were victories for the Bruins 25-15 and 25-17. From there, Ridgway, (4-2 and 7-4) in 2A District 3, managed to squeak past the Bruins in straight sets 25-23, 25-22 and 15-10.

Cedaredge's final match of the week was against the visiting Rangely Panthers (8-0 and 13-2) of the 2A/1A Western Slope League.

The Panthers played well to sweep Cedaredge 25-22, 26-24 and 25-18.

Cedaredge has four matches this week. The first was played at home against Gunnison on Oct.10. The Bruins travel to Delta on Thursday, Oct. 12, for a 4 p.m. varsity match and are in Nucla on Friday (Oct. 13) for a 3 p.m. contest. The week ends with Aspen visiting the Bruins' den on Saturday with an 11 a.m. starting time for the day's activities.

Next week begins with Gunnison in town for varsity action beginning at 6 p.m.
