Casey Wayne Collard of Cedaredge died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. He was 55.
He was born in Kremm-ling May 16, 1960. He graduated from Summit County High School in 1978.
Mr. Collard was a champion bull rider in the 1980s, and a cowboy. He was certified in deep water rescue diving and later, welding. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 25 years, including work on Delta's alternate truck route.
He enjoyed hunting and helping people in need.
Mr. Collard is survived by his wife, Marcella Collard; her two sons, Alexander and Austen and their wives; daughters, Mandy Priller and Katie Collard; his father, Charles "Dave" Collard and Mary Carsten; three grandchildren; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Collins; and his grandparents, Charles and Maxine Collard.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held in Dillon in May 2016. Inurnment will be at Dillon Lake Cemetery.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
