Cecil Treadway

Cecil Thomas Treadway died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at his daughter's home in Delta. He was 88.

He was born in Little Rock, Ark., Aug. 2, 1927. He graduated from Little Rock Central High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Treadway was a businessman in Little Rock from the late 1940s with Little Rock Carpet and Linoleum, and through the late 1950s with Western Hills Country Club. After developing the country club and running it for a decade, he moved to Rogers, Ark., where he worked in residential and commercial real estate. In 1978 he and his daughter Cathy established the Arkansas School of Real Estate in Bentonville, Ark. He later moved to Bella Vista, Ark.

He enjoyed golf, tennis and quarter horses. He competed in the cutting ring and won several Arkansas Cutting Horse Association championships.

Mr. Treadway was living with his daughter Cathy at the time of his death.

He is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Brad) Percefull and Cindy (Tom) Alter; and a brother, Wilton.
