The Sizzler, the Cedaredge Ladies Golf Club's annual tournament, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Cedaredge Golf Course. Registration and breakfast begin at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start of play at 9 a.m. The two-lady team 18-hole best ball tournament is a fundraiser to establish the First Tee program at Cedaredge Elementary School. Entry fee is $65 per person.
The ladies' club is raising $3,000 to bring the First Tee program to the local school. A $500 grant from First Tee has been received. Club members will be contacting local businesses for additional support.

At their March 5 meeting Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes made two appointments to the county planning commission. Steve Shea was reappointed for a three-year term.
