CHS 1951 graduates gather for dinner, monthly breakfasts | CHS, Reunion, Cedaredge

Pictured in 1951, the senior class dedicated the annual to their first grade teacher, Mrs. Marie Carter. The class is pictured with Mrs. Carter in her classroom (standing from the left) Hybert Wiegert, Carlene Dougan, R.D. Horn, Velma Caufman, Mary Mills,

After 65 years of "life after high school," 19 classmates out of a graduating class of 28 attended a dinner at the Greystone and a picnic the next day at the Field of Dreams. Seven members of the Cedaredge High School Class of 1951 are deceased.

Many friendships were renewed. Norman Ashurst, Mildred Connor Brooks and Carolyn Bryson Andersen still live in Cedaredge. Leonard Russell and wife Kay and Jim Morton and wife Perla returned to Cedaredge after retirement. Joe Donothan and Junior Holder joined the Navy before graduation, but both remain active class members. Joe and Marjorie (Turner) live in Centennial while Junior and Kay live in Eckert, where Junior raises beautiful roses.

Class members meet for breakfast at the Sundance in Delta on the second Tuesday of every month.
