Clifton Lee Hood died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at his home in Delta. He was 55.
Graveside services were held Friday, Jan. 29, at Delta City Cemetery with Pastor Earl Douglas officiating.
Mr. Hood was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sept. 26, 1960, to Truman and Delores (Peebles) Hood. He spent his childhood and attended school in Springville, Utah.
He lived in Nephi, Utah, before moving his family to Delta in 1995.
He was a member of Maranatha Fellowship in Delta. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Hood is survived by his mother, Delores Peebles of Provo, Utah; four sons, Tony (Jennifer) Hood of Pensacola, Fla., Jeff Hood of Montrose, Gary Hood of Greeley and Alex Hood of Fort Collins; two sisters, Patricia Mortson of Provo, Utah, and Valerie Hill of Salt Lake City, Utah; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Hood; a brother, Clinton Hood; and a sister, Trina Hatfield.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
