The City of Delta is hosting a community meeting to discuss upcoming maintenance activities that will require 24-hour road closures. Residents of Fox Hollow, Orchard Estates, Pioneer Place, Emerald Hills and Valley Garden subdivisions, as well as the businesses on Cottonwood Street, are invited to learn more at the community meeting scheduled Monday, June 5, 6 to 8 p.m. at Delta High School.
Delta City Council has contracted with Andale Construction to perform a high density mineral bond (HA5) on the roads in those subdivisions. Learn how Andale Construction and the City of Delta plan to mitigate the impact of the 24-hour closure. Logistics of the HA5 application, and what that means to residents, will be discussed and questions will be answered. For more information, call the city engineer at 874-7566, ext. 216.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
