Former Buena Vista resident Constance "Connie" L. Roberts died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Mesa Manor Center in Grand Junction. She was 76.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Inurnment will take place on a future date at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder.
Mrs. Roberts was born in Boulder Aug. 14, 1939, to George and Ruth (Dillinger) Perrill. The family lived in Alton, Kan., until she was 5 years old, when they moved back to Boulder. She graduated from Boulder High School in 1957 and from Weaver Airline Personnel School in 1958.
On Nov. 8, 1958, she married Glen Roberts in Boulder. They later moved to Buena Vista where Mrs. Roberts lived for 36 years. She moved to Cedaredge in 2005.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of Grand Mesa Baptist Church in Cedaredge, Rainbow Girls, Mt. Heights Southern Baptist Church, Bible study groups and MS Society. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, reading, crocheting, cooking and collecting wheelchairs for Joni's Wheels for the World.
She is survived by a son, Keith (Lisa) Roberts of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Keri Hockett of Grand Junction and Darcy (Jeff) Gott of Safford, Ariz.; a brother, Jerry Perrill of Irving, Texas; five grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and seven great-grandchildren.
