Last week's standings found all divisional leaders with unblemished records through June 11. One league, Women's Slowpitch, lost that unbeaten leader when Cornerstone Home Lending fell to H & R Block last Thursday night, and slipped to 8-1 to maintain a comfortable lead in league standings. The following summaries are based on league play through June 17.
Monday night's Silver Coed League kept its leader, and an umblemished mark, with Hometown Electric/1440 Image easing past T.S.C. Warriors. Mom and Jenn's Cleaning held onto second place with a win over number four Rymer and Company, who fell to number three Delta Family Fun Park.
The Change Ups moved into fifth after beating Freaky Madd Batters (#8) and Northrup Construction (fell to seventh) after losing to Delta Family Fun Park.
Opa's remains Monday night's lone winless team with no wins in eight tries.
Tuesday's Gold Coed League keeps its top team (Cornerstone Home Lending) after a pair of wins over Bad News Beers and Delta Metals last Monday evening.
Berries and Cherries lost ground, numberswise, with a pair of losses and fell to 6-4. The good news is they held onto second place.
Bad News Beers (third, 6-5) remained in third place with Delta Metals following in fourth with a split last week (3-8). Twist Off was a winner for the first time this summer and now posts a 1-9 record.
Men's Slowpitch competition has Dynamic with a perfect 8-0 slate after its win over River Bandits last Thursday. Moralez Trucking is not going away with an 8-2 record following a loss to River Bandits and a win over Double J Flyin' Trash Cans.
Delta Metals, after its two wins last week, remains in third place followed by River Bandits and Big B's.
Balls Deep and Yost Family Dentistry have 2-7 records after losing to Delta Metals last Thursday.
Double J's Flyin' Trash Cans are still looking for wins and have a 0-9 record.
Thursday night's Women's Slowpitch league-leader Cornerstone Home Lending (8-1) held its place after a loss to fourth-place Overholt Truss (2-7).
A doubleheader win for H & R Block pulls them even with Crested Oak Dentistry (4-5).
Play continues for Delta Rec teams, with Monday night's action, June 27, beginning at 6 p.m. and final play set for 9 p.m. on both the Black and Red Fields at Mountain View Complex.
Tuesday's play, with regular season scheduling completed, will mark the start of tournament action. Game times are set, tentatively, for 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
Thursday night Men's and Women's Slowpitch action (June 23) will see the men playing on the Black and Red fields beginning at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
Women's Slowpitch action (June 23) will be played on the Green Field beginning at 6:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
