County golfers play Bookcliff

A late report was submitted Monday evening from assistant Delta golf coach Dwain Bush.

Delta High School and Cedaredge High School participated in the Grand Junction Invitational held at the Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction.

The Tigers won the team title with 210 points with Montrose second with its 225. Fruita Monument scored 237 to place third and Delta's Panthers were fourth with 243 points. Steamboat Springs finished fifth (245) and Cedaredge was sixth (247).

The individual medalist race belonged to Grand Junction's Trevor Olkowski with his 66. Brother Canon Olkowski placed second with a 67.

Delta County placers included a tie for ninth between Cedaredge's Jacob Lewis and Logan Wood of Delta. Both players finished with a score of 80.

Cedaredge's Peter Carlson and Delta's Blake Reiher tied for 12th with scores of 81 and Delta's Cristian Hall was tied for 17th with his 82.

The teams were at Tiara Rado on Tuesday.
