The Town of Crawford reminds citizens that during winter months parking is allowed only on one side of Cedar Avenue. Other than Highway 92, it's probably the busiest street in town, said public works director Bruce Bair.
When people park on both sides of the street, snow removal becomes difficult. In the evenings, citizens are asked to obey signs and park only on the north side of Cedar.
If vehicle owners ignore the signs they do risk having their cars towed, said Bair, but the main issue is having the ability to clear the snow.
At their March 5 meeting Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes made two appointments to the county planning commission. Steve Shea was reappointed for a three-year term.
