The Cedaredge Police Department is seeking information on a car that has been stolen twice. The 1996 silver Subaru Legacy, license #790ULZ, was stolen Feb. 15 and recovered a short time later. A spare key which had been stored in the car was found to be missing, and the car was stolen again Feb. 27. The vehicle has not been recovered.
The second incident involves a lost/missing firearm. On Feb. 28, between 5 and 6 p.m., a Bushmaster AR-15 A3 rifle in a black hard case slid out of the back of a truck, possibly near the area of Happy Hollow Road and NW Cedar Avenue. Unknown persons driving a black Subaru reportedly stopped and picked something up off the roadway. Contact was made with the occupants of the black Subaru but the rifle was not found.
Anyone with information about these two cases is asked to call Crimestoppers at 874-8810.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
