Devin Curtis ran for 72 yards and three touchdowns in 13 carries in the Hotchkiss Bulldogs' 44-0 win Saturday against Vail Christian.

Colton Peebles carried for 219 yards and one touchdown in 23 carries. Sophomore Jace Peebles ran for 75 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown.

On defense, Hotchkiss kept the pressure on the Saints. Colton Peebles made nine solo and five assisted tackles and had two tackles for a loss. Nolan Egging and Kylar Massano each had two TFL, and Darrin Young was in on four tackles and one TFL.

Freshman Yahir Chavez returned six kickoffs for 195 yards, including a 45-yard kickoff return.

The win puts the Bulldogs at 3-1 for the season. They open 1A Western Slope League play this Friday at Meeker. At 4-0, Meeker has been ranked at No. 2 all season by Colorado Preps and at 4-0 is the only undefeated team in the 1A WSL after last week's 30-7 win over Monte Vista.
