A special evening for dads, daughters, grandfathers and granddaughters is planned at Bill Heddles Recreation Center. The annual daddy-daughter dance takes place Saturday, Nov. 12. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; dancing begins at 7 p.m.
This year the dance is "A Mid-November Night's Dream" with an enchanted forest theme. Bring a special little girl for an evening of dancing, snacks and fun.
The fee is $15 in advance by Friday, Nov. 11, or $20 at the door ($5 for each additional girl). Please bring a snack to share with others.
This dance is primarily for girls ages 3-12, but older girls are welcome. For more information or to register, call the recreation center at 874-0923.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
