Darlene J. Griffith died June 16, 2017, at HopeWest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction. She was 70.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 24, at 1 p.m. at the Norwood Cemetery.
Ms. Griffith was born Feb. 26, 1947. She enjoyed cooking at the family hunting camp and working outdoors in her yard and with her cows.
She is survived by her four children, Kim Bennett, Blaine Griffith, Trace Griffith and Ash Griffith; one brother, Ivan Reed; one sister, Cleo Banks; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
