David Wayne Canaday died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at his home in Delta. He was 50.
No services are planned at this time.
He was born in Tucson, Ariz., Sept. 15, 1965, to James and Carol (Goodson) Canaday. He spent his childhood and attended school in Riverview, Fla.
Mr. Canaday married Tracy McCarty in Tampa, Fla.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and reading.
He is survived by his parents, James and Carol Canaday of Zephyrhills, Fla.; wife, Tracy Canaday of Zephyrhills, Fla.; three sons, LeVaughn Canaday of Indiana, Justin Canaday of Indiana, and Timothy Canaday of Riverview, Fla.; two brothers, Jeffery Canaday of Delta, and Jermiah Canaday of Zephyrhills; and a sister, Tammy (Kevin) Wicburg of Delta.
Mr. Canaday was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Canaday.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
