Delta High School's golf team participated in a pair of tournaments last week. Delta placed third at Yampa Valley-Craig on Monday.
Montrose was the meet winner with a 218 and Grand Junction was second with a 219. The Panthers posted a 244 to earn third place (the top 3A team with Basalt second).
KC Carlson's 80 topped Delta players' scores while Cristian Hall was next with an 81. Blake Reiher carded an 83 and Logan Wood had an 88. Mason Garcia posted a 108.
In Steamboat Springs (Haymaker) Hall sparked Delta's 232 with a round of 73.
Carlson was next with his 79, with Reiher's 80 next, followed by Wood's 81 and Bohling a 92.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
