Delta High School's first swim meet was held in Gunnison on Dec. 3.
Placing third in Gunnison was Landre Whelan in the 200 individual medley, Olivia McCracken in the 100 butterfly and Whelan in the 500 freestyle.
Kamryn Spiker had a 4th place finish in the 200 freestyle and McCracken was fourth in the 100 backstroke.
Kaitlyn Neely, Spiker, Whelan and McCracken finished in fourth place while competing in the 200 free relay.
The team of Sami Wollert, Sami Lane, McCracken and Whelan placed fifth in the 200 medley.
The Panthers are finished with their 2016 schedule and won't be competing again until Jan. 6 when they host the first of two Delta Invitational meets at Bill Heddles Recreation Center. Their next meet is scheduled for Jan. 13 in Cortez. The meet is set for an afternoon starting time at 3 p.m.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
