Following its 3-1 loss to Steamboat Springs a week ago, Delta has started a new winning streak with victories over Rifle and Summit this past week.

Last Thursday's visit to Rifle resulted in a 3-0 win while Saturday's match in Delta produced the same 3-0 results.

Against Rifle, Emily Baier earned top-kill honors for the Panthers with 12, and Ashton Reese contributed nine more.

The Bears did not go down easily after Delta's 25-13 first-set win. Rifle played its closest match of the day in a 25-21 loss in set two. The Panthers scored a 25-20 decision in set three for the match win.

Shelbi Ledesma and Shanan Davey scored four and three points, respectively, from the service line for Delta. Ledesma also had 11 digs for the Panthers.

Reese finished her day with two blocks, 10 digs and 16 service receptions.

Emily Nortnik dished out 21 assists during the match while Baier had 12 service receptions and Harlee Roberts another nine.

It was Reese's turn to post the top number of kills against Summit last Saturday. She finished with 15 while Baier had 13. Delta derailed the Tigers with wins of 25-17, 25-23 and 25-14.

In the digs department, Davey finished with 23, Baier had 16 and Nortnik added another 13.

Nortnik was the assists leader with 24 while the top service receptions went to Davey (16), Reese (11) and Roberts (8).
