DMEA is offering $10 to its members for attending local forums designed to help them reduce their energy use.
DMEA will host two of the member forums next month. They will highlight the co-op's programs and services designed to help members reduce their energy use. All members who attend will receive a $10 bill credit.
The forums are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m. at Orchard City Town Hall, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m. at Hotchkiss Memorial Hall. Free dessert and refreshments will be served.
The forums are an opportunity for members to learn about DMEA's numerous efficiency and billing programs that can help them reduce their energy consumption and save money. DMEA staff members will discuss the programs and walk attendees through a variety of demonstrations and hands-on activities.
"I invite all members who are interested in learning about how to use energy wisely to attend. The forums will provide opportunities to learn about efficient technologies and the incentives available to take advantage of them. At the very least, you'll walk away armed with information that can help you save money," said DMEA Energy Services supervisor Phil Zimmer.
Although the forums will begin with presentations from DMEA, ample time will be allotted for questions and answers. Members of DMEA's management team and board members will be available to help answer questions.
"These forums will focus on energy efficiency and assistance programs, but our ultimate goal is to listen to our members. They are informal gatherings where all members are welcome to ask questions on any topic," said DMEA manager of Member Relations and HR Virginia Harman.
