Self-nomination petitions for the 2016 Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) board of directors election are now available to the public.
Each year, DMEA members are responsible for voting for three representatives to serve on the co-op's board of directors. This year, the board seats for District 3, District 4, and the South Region are up for election. Currently, the following members hold these seats:
• District 3: Olen Lund, secretary/treasurer.
• District 4: Jim Elder.
• South Region: Tony Prendergast, vice president.
Members residing within the above districts are eligible to run for DMEA's board of directors. Eligible candidates must be members of DMEA and reside in the district in which they are seeking election. To become a candidate, members much complete the self-nomination packet. The packets can be picked up at DMEA's offices in Montrose and Read. To confirm in which district you reside, call 1-877-687-3632.
Completed petition packets, including 15 member signatures supporting your candidacy, must be returned to DMEA no later than 4 p.m. Monday, May 2.
