Delta Middle School teachers Jason Atchley and Deann Olivas are leading a group of DMS students on an exciting trip to Washington, D.C., and New York City the week of April 16.
The once-in-a-lifetime trip is offered by World Strides, which has been delivering top-quality educational travel programs for 50 years.
Students will have a chance to see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution in person. They will visit the 9/11 National Memorial at the World Trade Center, and find inspiration from the heroes honored at Arlington National Cemetery and Washington, D.C.'s war memorials. Students will visit Alexandria, one of America's oldest and most historic cities, and Mount Vernon, George Washington's home. In New York City, students will see a Broadway show, visit Central Park and walk Fifth Avenue and Wall Street.
All meals, lodging and activities are covered by the $2,724 participation fee. Students are currently raising funds for the trip and would love to discuss opportunities for earning money. For more information, contact Atchley at 874-8046 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
