It may not be common knowledge that Sept. 14-20 has been designated as "Colorado Cities and Towns Week." The idea is that during these seven days, every city and town in the state can take the opportunity to show the pride that we have in the special place we call home. The Town of Cedaredge is no different. If you are in town, even for a short time, you will no doubt hear people tell you exactly why Cedaredge is their town, and why they take pride in calling it their hometown. You may not realize how many of those same people turn their pride into action, by dedicating some of their time and talent in ways that not only make the town work but also make the town an even better place to live. The list of groups that so many people work for so tirelessly is too extensive to list. They include, at least, school groups, professionals, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, civic boards, not to mention our administration and town staff. It takes the effort of many people to provide us all with a better lifestyle. The hope is that, during "Colorado Cities and Towns Week," you will learn about and maybe take advantage of something new in your town or city. If you are a part of our Cedaredge community, the hope is that you will thank someone for what they do for the town, and that you hear a thank you for what you do, too! It will all add to your story of why Cedaredge is the place you like to call home!
