Valentine's Day has come and gone but February is still "Love Your Libraries" month so there's still time to try a blind date with a book at the Cedaredge Public Library. Books from all genres and for all age groups are wrapped in plain brown paper and patiently waiting for someone to connect with them. After the book is unwrapped and read, the reader fills out the "Rate Your Date" book review.
There's also time to return overdue items by Feb. 28 to take advantage of the libraries' special fine forgiveness day. According to Lea Hart, district director of Delta County Libraries, "The final day of February is a one-time countywide fine forgiveness day that will clear overdue fines for all patrons."

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
