Donald Morris died Feb. 5, 2018, at his home in Cedaredge. He was 76.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
Donald Ray Morris was born June 21, 1941, to George and Ida Mae (McClure) Morris in Napa, Calif. He spent his childhood in Concord and Pittsburg and the Bay Area of California, graduating in 1959 from Pacific High School. After high school, he attended Azusa Pacifica College.
On June 23, 1962, he married Irene Lozano in Pittsburg, Calif.
Mr. Morris enjoyed the gypsy lifestyle and supported his wife's venture, Designs of the IAM. He also enjoyed cooking.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene Morris; sons, Steven Morris of Washington, D.C., and James Morris of Oregon; brothers, David Morris and Jim Morris, both of California; a sister, Frances Scott of California; two grandchildren, Justin Morris and Jeena Morris; and one great-grandchild, Zaydin Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Robena Siverly.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
