Donna Mae Palmer died Jan. 27, 2018, at Colorow Care Center. She was 76.
She was born in Cortez Dec. 9, 1941, to Claude and Jewel (Stanford) Maslen. She spent her childhood in Cortez and Dove Creek, graduating from Dove Creek High School in 1959. She attended college in Alamosa.
On Feb. 3, 1984, she married John Palmer in Cahone.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, watching television and RVing with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Palmer of Delta; two sons, David Palmer of Florida and Tucker Palmer of Delta; two daughters, Linda Phillips of Florida and Jewelene Phillips of Delta; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
