Doris Jane Beach died July 26, 2017, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 86.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Doris Jane Johnson was born April 27, 1931, in Delta to David and Helen (Bartlett) Johnson. She spent her childhood in Delta and Cedaredge She attended school in Delta.
On Aug. 13, 1950, she married Lloyd Beach in Cedaredge. They had five children.
Mrs. Beach enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, gardening, collecting gnomes, and watching the Broncos and westerns.
She is survived by four sons, Wayne Beach of Delta, Gary (Leigh) Beach of Grand Junction, Chris Beach of California and Douglas Beach of Cañon City; one daughter, Deborah Beach of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Beach; and three brothers, Kenneth, William and Jim Johnson.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
