Dr. Susan Bright has been my primary care physician for almost a decade and I am in a state of disbelief and despondency concerning her departure. An unfillable void will be left, as she is an exceptional physician who views her patients as human beings with lives, not just numbers. She has always taken the time to not only answer my clinical questions, but to discuss my overall health. Her compassionate support after the loss of my mother made a significant difference in processing my grief. I can genuinely call her a friend.
Dr. Bright conducts her practice with integrity, accountability and compassion. I know as I have been a grateful recipient. I will not be alone in experiencing the loss of her services. Dr. Bright has served Delta County for the last 14 years and has touched innumerable lives. Her dedication and commitment to our community is more than honorable and should be recognized.
As a woman, in a later stage of life, I am more comfortable having a female physician. Now, my options will be restricted due to limited available resources. Many physicians are not taking new patients, and if so, the wait time can be extensive. I am unsure how all of Dr. Bright's patients will be assimilated into the system, but I'm hoping that I remain healthy until I can find another primary care doctor. I will not be alone in my search. Again, Susan, I cannot thank you enough for not only caring for me, but for the members of our community. I want you to know and remember that you are not only an extraordinary doctor, but you are an extraordinary human being. You will be missed.
