The family of Earl Cabe wishes to extend an invitation for the celebration of Earl's life on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. at Pat's Bar and Grill in Hotchkiss.
Earl Bryan Cabe completed his life's journey on Dec. 25, 2016, with his best friend Bobby Dickerson and Joan by his side at his home in Crawford. Earl was born on March 31, 1950 in Tracy, Calif., where he spent his childhood and grew up. Earl's father was killed in a car wreck when Earl was very young leaving his mother to raise his older brother Lewis and his sister Lois. His mother and sister preceded him in death. Earl leaves behind his four children, Kristel Cabe Dollard and her husband Steve of Hughson, Calif., Bryan Cabe and his wife Shanna of Guthrie, Okla., Micah Cabe-McMillian and his wife Shania, their sons Cole and Carter and Mckinsie Cabe-McMillian from Wyoming.
Earl's background included coal and gold mining, owner operator of core drilling and concrete business. He was a certified welding instructor in all phases of the trade and was a long haul freight driver across all 48 states.
Earl loved the outdoors, hunting with his hounds for raccoons, lions and bears. His love for hunting, fishing and camping was enjoyed with his friends and family. When he met Joan he found his "Country Girl." Hunting, fishing, camping and horseback riding were their favorite hobbies. His special love was his homing pigeons, racing and flying them with his friend Danny Mello.
