Edith Lopez

Maria Erepina "Edith" Ann Madril Lopez died April 27, 2016, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 91.

Rosary will be recited at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Paonia Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Bethlehem Cemetery Friday, May 6, at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Lopez was born in Capulin July 20, 1924, to Delfido and Sophia Madril.

She married Ramon Lopez in Montrose. They later moved to Dragerton, Utah, where they lived for 20 years. They returned to Colorado and lived in Paonia 46 years.

Mrs. Lopez was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, crocheting, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Tony (Carol) Lopez of Mesquite, Nev., Jonathan Lopez, Duane Lopez of Paonia and Allen (Janet) Lopez of Grand Junction; her daughter-in-law, Carol Lopez of Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Ramon "Sonny" Lopez and Delfido Lopez; a daughter, Veronica Lopez; and her siblings, Cedilla War, Francisco Madril, Edmundo Madril, Manuel Madril, Costancia Madril, Fermin Madril, Juan Madril, Jose Madril and Epifanio Madril.
