Region 10 and area church leaders are teaming up to present an elder fraud workshop Thursday, June 29, at the Abraham Connection homeless shelter located at 477 Silver Street. This workshop will cover several topics that will provide valuable information and tools for living. The workshop will open at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments and conclude with Q & A around noon. It is open to anyone whether you consider yourself a "senior citizen" or not. More details will be available in next week's Delta County Independent.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
