Families Plus is a Delta County nonprofit organization that plays a vital role in the fight to end poverty and improve the lives of local families. Families Plus supports the entire family through a wraparound package of service. It asks Delta County families to open their home and their hearts to children with complex needs. Volunteer mentoring families, the ability to visit the dentist, doctor and therapist regularly, assistance in school, working with parents on being effective with school, court and social agencies -- this a great opportunity for a struggling family to grow. Life can be difficult and Families Plus provides a culture of love and trust that offers a hand up to families in need.
As outreach coordinator, Hensley will be raising awareness and recruiting new volunteers to help with this extraordinary, life-changing organization. If you are interested in learning more about Families Plus, please call 970-874-0464 or email email@example.com.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
