First Colorado National Bank is partnering with the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce to host a ribbon cutting and open house Tuesday, May 24, from 3 to 5 p.m. The event will be held at the branch located at 150 Gunnison River Drive.
The ribbon cutting is to reveal the recent remodel which highlights Delta's heritage in the cattle industry. The ambiance of the design is dedicated to our agricultural heritage, featuring the cattle brands of local ranchers. One of the highlights of the project is a robust display of cowboy collectibles from a local private collector.
The community is invited to see the redesign of the branch and the ranching displays. Refreshments will be served at the open house.
First Colorado National Bank is currently the only locally owned bank in Delta County. It was chartered in 1903 and has been a staple in the community for over a century.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
